Choose Fairtrade flowers - the perfect way to show you care while supporting flower-farming communities to blossom.

Roses

Fairtrade certified flower farms ensure safety and good conditions for workers, important when employees are often vulnerable young women.

Latest figures show that almost 50,000 workers are employed on Fairtrade flower farms in countries including Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia, Ecuador, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe.

Fairtrade flower workers earn a wage that is at or above the national minimum wage. Furthermore, the worker association receives a Fairtrade Premium of 10% for every bunch or stem sold, which they can invest in projects to benefit their communities, including health care and education and better working conditions.

Fairtrade flowers can be found in many major supermarkets and can be traced back to the farm they came from.

There’s a Fairtrade flower for most occasions, whether you’re celebrating a wedding or giving a gift – from roses and carnations to lilies and lisianthus.
