Craft Cocktails and Sustainable Ingredients Shake Up Fair Trade Month
Fairtrade America, FAIR., and Whole Foods El Segundo threw a Fair Trade Happy Hour in celebration of Fair Trade Month.
FAIR., the world’s first Fairtrade certified spirits brand, crafted three sustainable cocktails made from Fairtrade certified ingredients, including Mount Hagen Coffee, Divine Chocolate, and Organic India Tea, for a Fair Trade Happy Hour.
Cocktail lovers and sustainability enthusiasts enjoyed FAIR.’s Sustainable Cocktail menu at the 2nd Bar at Whole Foods El Segundo where FAIR.’s Quinoa Vodka is a frequent top-seller.
FAIR.’s growth in the U.S. tracks with market trends in ethical consumption, where consumers are demanding ethically sourced products from clothing to cocktails. A Globescan study found that 76% of consumers view a brand that carries the Fairtrade mark more favorably.
FAIR.’s quinoa is sourced from co-ops in the Altiplano of Bolivia. Beyond supporting a Fairtrade Minimum Price and Premium, FAIR. also supports economic community development projects in the communities they source from. Cheers to that!
