This October, You Have the Power!

October is Fair Trade Month and this year, we are celebrating the Power of You.

You have the power to do something amazing. The power to help farmers build better futures for themselves, and improve working conditions around the world.

We salute you. The world needs more like you. Fighting for fairer trade, a fairer world.

Fair Trade Month is an annual, nationwide celebration of all things fair trade & the difference that choosing fair makes for millions of farmers & workers in developing countries. Over the month, we’ll post stories about the farmers who produce things that you use every day, products like:

• Coffee
• Tea
• Flowers
• Cocoa
• Sugar
• Fruits and Vegetables
• Cotton
• Spices

Here are a few ways to celebrate Fair Trade Month:

• Keep following us here and on Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest, and share information with friends, family and colleagues to let them know what a difference they can make every day.
• Sign-up for our e-mail list and get updates directly to your inbox (click the “subscribe” button down below).
• Request a Fairtrade Month resources pack that you can use to engage your colleagues, customers, congregation, club, etc. Email your name and postal address to questions@fairtradeamerica.org to get stickers, flyers Fairtrade samples now!
• Last but not least, the best way you can celebrate this month is by making the commitment to buy Fairtrade products and help change the lives of almost 2 million farmers around the world.
